A Hunter’s Moon is the full moon that occurs after the Harvest Moon, which is the full moon closest to the autumn equinox. The Hunter’s Moon typically appears in late October or early November. It gets its name from the time when hunters would use the bright moonlight to gather food and prepare for the winter months, as the fields were now cleared after harvest. The Hunter’s Moon is known for its large, glowing appearance and can seem to hang in the sky longer than other full moons, making it a captivating and seasonal spectacle.
