Kick Up Your Boots: Country Line Dance Nights Return to Lancaster!

November 29, 2023

Hosted at the Lancaster Motel every other Wednesday, this event doesn’t disappoint. It’s a fantastic evening of music, dance, and camaraderie. The best part? It’s entirely free! But here’s the twist, all donations go towards Cigars for Warriors.

Leading the way and teaching you those classic line dance moves is none other than our very own Michelle Leslie. A local teacher and veteran. Hailing from the heart of country dance culture, Texas, Michelle has brought her passion for dance to our community, and we’re all the better for it. She’s new to the area but has already made a big impact by using her love for dance to build new friendships and strengthen our sense of community.

Remember the ’90s when country line dancing was all the rage? Lancaster had the Blue Moon, and Colebrook had the Heel and Toe. Those memories are coming back to life as many of those same dancers from 30 years ago are returning to the floor. The energy in the room is nothing short of amazing.

But it’s not just Lancaster; people from all over the region are joining in on the fun. The only requirement is a willingness to have a good time. We had a fantastic turnout for our pilot event, with 60 dancers showing up. This event is a shining example of what can happen with some teamwork and creativity.

So, dust off those cowboy boots, grab your friends and family, and join us for a night of country line dancing, community building, and loads of fun. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
