Meet the Team

Britni Haley

Community Steward for the Canaan / Colebrook / Stratford Region
britni@thecbh.org  802-277-1974

As a native of the area, and part of generations who have lived here, I have a deep awareness of the unique challenges and opportunities that exist in northern New Hampshire and northeastern Vermont, and also a drive to help bring about positive change. I graduated in 2005 from Colebrook Academy, ventured to college and beyond and returned home to buy a home in Stratford where I’ve lived with my growing family since 2013. I bring experience from roles in the hospitality and service industry, including event coordination, marketing, communications and development skills.

I am honored to work with my team and fellow North Country community members as a connector, a changemaker and an advocate for this place we call home. We all hold a mutual responsibility for the betterment of our communities, and I am here to connect the dots, put energy under common issues and support efforts. If we all do a little, we can accomplish a lot together!

I’m a local from Whitefield who never quite outgrew the need to always have a good time to include a passion for the 80’s, history, running, coaching, snowboarding, line dancing, mountain tops and anything outdoors! Growing up in Lancaster, or the center of the universe as some refer to it, afforded me an amazing childhood and later a great place to raise my own kids! I still dream of cinnamon rolls from the Lancaster Diner (with Bon Jovi playing on the jukebox), pin bowling and roller skating at Dubreuils!

As a long time local journalist, I’ve been able to experience just how amazing our North Country neighbors are. Covering local happenings that run the full gamut has been an honor and a great way to see and share how palpable the camaraderie is here in the North Country. Having the opportunity to serve as a community steward combines my love of this region, my ability to seek out and amplify the cool things happening in our communities and the chance to know my neighbors better!

Mandy Bernd

Community Steward for the Milan / Berlin / Gorham Region

I’ve been in community work for the past several years (though I didn’t know it at the time), bartending at a popular locals bar in Berlin, NH. I highly value being intentional in my work, taking the time to build deep relationships with community partners. Looking for where energy is already bubbling up in the community, I work to partner and align with folks and organizations that align with and complement the values and mission of the CBH.

I live in the woods in Milan with my two pretty awesome boys, two rather indifferent tabby cats, and about a million books. A life’s goal is to befriend the area’s crows.
